Questions, problems, or anything that is not working — this page is where to start.

How Inkword works
Photograph a page of English — an article, an email, a book. Tap the words and phrases you did not know. Inkword writes each one a card carrying its meaning in your language, the sentence you met it in, and how it is used. Cards come back at widening intervals, because spacing is what makes a word stick.
Common questions
Nothing is due today. Is the app broken?
No — that is the method working. Cards return on a schedule of roughly one day, three days, a week, three weeks. Most days there is nothing to review, and reviewing early does not make a word stick harder. You can practise ahead from the home screen without moving the schedule.
The camera will not open.
Inkword needs camera access to read a page. If you declined it, iOS will not ask again — turn it on in Settings → Inkword → Camera. You can also pick an existing photo from your library instead of using the camera.
Scanning did not find the word I wanted.
Text recognition depends on focus and lighting. Hold the page flat, fill the frame with the paragraph rather than the whole page, and avoid shadows across the text. Any word on the recognised page can be tapped, not only the ones we suggest.
What do I get for free, and what does Pro add?
Scanning and reviewing are unlimited on both. A free account keeps up to 10 cards; Pro removes that cap. Pro is $5.99 per month or $35.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial.
I paid but Pro is not active.
Open Profile → Subscription and tap Restore purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so this also brings Pro back on a new device. If it still does not appear, email us with the Apple receipt.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled in Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Inkword. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the period you already paid for ends. We cannot cancel it for you — Apple does not give developers that control.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Delete account. It asks you to confirm, then permanently removes your account and everything in it — your decks, your cards, the text you scanned and your profile. This cannot be undone and we cannot restore it afterwards.
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription, because Apple owns that billing relationship. Cancel it separately in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
If you cannot reach the app — you lost the device, or sign-in fails — email inkword@aegisflow.work from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
Which languages are supported?
Inkword teaches English. Explanations are written in your native language: Vietnamese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese (Simplified), Japanese or Korean. Change it any time from a card, or in Profile → Your Native Language.
